Raita/Mosru Bajji or yogurt salad, is a basic side dish that is the perfect accompaniment to almost any Indian dish…especially rice items! Although it’s a standard dish, everyone makes it just a little differently.
I make my mother’s classic version of this recipe, which includes finely diced tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, and a South Indian style tempering involving mustard seeds and curry leaves. It’s so simple, yet so delicious! 🙂

Notes
- Make sure to very finely dice all your veggies for this raita.
- I prefer red onions for this recipe, but you could use yellow or white onions instead.
- There are many versions of this recipe. This is my tried and true version that I learned from my Mother. I hope you love it!
- Vegan Option: Use Vegan Yogurt to make Vegan Raita.
